See you in the New Year

Got a shed load on my mind, but I’ll be damned if I can put it into coherent sentences! Even if I could tho, I’m heading back to a flat with no internet tomorrow so I’ll be offline til the 2nd.
Soooo… I hope you all have a great New Year, and make plenty of good resolutions that will (of course) be broken by the time I blog again
Stay focussed on your goals, and believe you can achieve them.
Catch ya again in 2007…
Merry Christmas

I know what you’re thinking. A whole week you’ve been waiting, on the edge of your seat wondering what fabulous post I’ll come up with next… and here you are faced with a title that screams drunk Japanese businessmen in dodgey bars singing long forgotten (and rightly so) 80’s hits.
Well, close…
It’s actually drunk consultants, in a room with waiter service, a microphone and some music. Far more fun
Project night out last night, there was chinese food, lots of drinking, and lots of singing. A rendition of Angels by yours truly went surprisingly well after a few jars (by which I mean no glass shattered at least!). A “group” (read: 2 of us with mics, the rest dancing) effort at New York New York was a scream, tho “effort” is definitley the right word lol, and a later Chinese contribution went down a storm! Nobody else could understand a word (except the “Oh.. Ah..” bits) but it really was awesome
Essentially, I had a great night and good laugh, I’d definitely recommend it!

Fucking hell!
I think that pretty much covers it. Getting an insight into the psyche of a world class climber is quite something… if a little bit scary lol. Even so, afterwards (and this is possibly the scariest part) all I wanted to do was climb. Get out on rock, and climb.
That said, the itch has been back for a while, and I’m now seriously starting to try and think of ways I can get out more often. If I can stay injury free over the winter, then next year should be fun!
Back to last night tho, one moment that stood out (besides the film, which was awesome!) was where Dave described an E10 in the lakes as being (and I paraphrase) “actually not bad, easier than I thought it’d be”. Later, putting that into perspective he pointed out that he spent 2 or 3 days working that route, compared to more like 40 on Rhapsody. Mental!
Right, on that note I’m off to the wall.
